Jonathan Lichtenstein's The Berlin Shadow shortlisted for The Slightly Foxed Best First Biography Prize

Congratulations to Jonathan Lichtenstein, whose book The Berlin Shadow: Living with the Ghosts of the Kindertransport has been shortlisted for The Slightly Foxed Best First Biography Prize. Jonathan’s book is published by Scribner / Simon & Schuster UK, by Little, Brown Spark in the US, and in numerous other countries.

Jonathan’s book retraces his father Hans’s journey from Berlin as a child refugee – and documents their return many decades later. It is a deeply moving memoir in three timeframes that confronts the defining trauma of the twentieth century and its effects on a father and son.
