Melissa Lane, Class of 1943 Professor of Politics, Princeton University, and author of books including Greek and Roman Political Ideas: A Pelican Introduction (Pelican / Penguin UK), has been invited to give the prestigious Carlyle Lectures at the University of Oxford.
The theme of the six-week lecture series is ‘Constitutions before Constitutionalism: Classical Greek Ideas of Office and Rule.’ The six individual lectures are:
